RecycleSmart
Overview
RecycleSmart is a group-developed mobile application that allows users to record recyclable materials, track totals over time and stay motivated through progress-based features. The project emphasizes practical sustainability by making recycling activities visible, measurable and rewarding through a clean mobile interface.

Data Handling
RecycleSmart is designed with reliability in mind through the use of a backend web server and local data persistence. In the event of server issues, the app leverages asynchronous local storage to retain user data, ensuring continuity and preventing data loss. This hybrid approach improves user trust and application robustness.

My Contributions
My primary contributions focused on implementing and enhancing core user-facing features. This includes the add, edit and delete functionality for recycling entries, as well as dynamic summary components on the home screen. I also developed the weekly goal system, daily recycling tips and real-time counters that display the current total number of recycled items and materials. In addition, I contributed to UI styling to improve clarity and visual consistency.

Features & Functionality
The application allows users to log recyclable items, edit existing entries, and remove records as needed. A summary section provides real-time feedback on total items and materials recycled, while weekly goals and daily tips are used to encourage consistent user engagement and a sense of achievement.
Outcome
RecycleSmart demonstrates my ability to contribute meaningful features to a production-style mobile application within a team environment. The project highlights skills in CRUD implementation, state-driven UI updates, data reliability strategies, and user-focused feature design, resulting in a functional and motivating sustainability-focused app.
